Tasmania’s Adult and Community Education (ACE) Policy affirms the government’s commitment to community-based adult learning. Knowing more about adult learning opportunities within the broader community sector is important to the implementation of this policy.
The 2006 adult and community education survey collected information on the provision of adult learning by over 500 groups and organisations in Tasmania’s community sector.
The survey was conducted through telephone interviews operated by TAFE Tasmania Contact Centre students in August and September 2006.

An information brochure [Word 51KB] provided more details about the survey, including how the department sourced contact details for the groups and organisations.
