Adult Learners' Week

1-8 September 2008

During Adult Learners' Week each year the Tasmanian Government joins with local businesses and community organisations to celebrate and promote lifelong learning in our state.

Adult Learners' Week Awards

The annual awards recognise and celebrate achievements in adult learning in Tasmania. Through the Adult Learners' Week Awards the Tasmanian Government, business groups and community organisations work together to promote the benefits of lifelong learning within the Tasmanian community.

Finalists for each award will be invited to the Tasmanian Training Awards gala presentation dinner at Wrest Point Convention Centre on Friday 22 August 2008. The winners will be announced at the dinner. A cash prize of $500 will be awarded to the winner in each category.

OUTSTANDING SUPPORTER OF ADULT LEARNING

VEOLIA ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES OUTSTANDING ADULT LEARNING PROGRAM

Adult Learners' Week Small Grants

The annual grants support local Tasmanian agencies, groups and organisations to promote adult learning in their communities during Adult Learners' Week.

Small grants of up to $300 are available to support approved activities and events.

Look for ALW events in your area, or register your ALW event on the national ALW online calendar

Promotional materials

Adult Learners Week promotional materials – posters, brochures and marketing pack – are available to support promotions of ALW events, and adult learning in general.
