The Tasmanian Communities Online Advisory Board is appointed by the Minister for Education. The role of the Board is to:
- provide leadership in considering the future directions of the TCO network and any additional services to be delivered through Online Access Centres and advise the Minister and Secretary on such matters.
- advise the Minister and Secretary on issues affecting the provision of services by the TCO network and in particular ICT enabled delivery.
- advise the Minister and the Secretary on policies affecting the delivery of services through the Online Access Centres.
- advise on partnership opportunities with Government and other agencies that will further enhance services delivered through Online Access Centres.
- make recommendations to the Minister in respect of such matters as it thinks fit or in respect of such matters as the Minister may require.
