Learning Together is Tasmania’s vision statement and strategic planning framework for education, training and information services in the state. It reinforces the vision and strategic direction contained in Tasmania Together and provides specific detail on the initiatives by which the Department of Education aims to realise that vision. Learning Together contains 46 key strategies, involving 134 initiatives matched to five goals, all underpinned by a statement of values.
The department has undertaken many initiatives designed to contribute directly to the achievement of the Learning Together goals. The status of each of the key strategies and initiatives of Learning Together is detailed in Appendix two. Initiatives described in this report that progressed the achievement of the goals of Learning Together during 2004-05 are identified by the use of the Learning Together symbol.
