Tasmania Together

Tasmania Together is a community-driven vision for Tasmania’s future. The goals and standards provide a statement of where the community wants Tasmania to be in 2020. The indicators, or benchmarks, and their targets provide the means by which to judge whether progress is being made. The Tasmania Together Progress Board reports to Parliament on the progress against the benchmarks and ensures that the plan continues to receive community and government support.

The Department of Education actively contributes to the development of Tasmania Together benchmarks and is strongly committed to helping achieve the targets that have been established. The goals of Tasmania Together and Learning Together provide a state vision on which the department’s strategic framework is built. The department has undertaken many activities designed to contribute directly to the achievement of the goals of Tasmania Together. Such initiatives are identified throughout this report by the use of the Tasmania Together logo, and benchmark references. Full detail on the benchmarks for which the department has coordinating responsibility are given in Appendix one of this report.
