Loss and damage
In providing its services, there is potential for claims to be lodged against the agency, and facilities may be subject to loss and damage due to many different causes. The Tasmanian Risk Management Fund (TRMF) is the department’s insuring agent, with the department covered by the Fund against financial losses arising from all types of events.
Under the department’s asset management policy, responsibility for the management of facilities is devolved to individual site managers who are well positioned to identify and manage priorities in a cost-effective manner.
