Our Direction
The Department of Education remains committed to our three key goals of ensuring all children in their early years have every opportunity to arrive at school as learners, improving the performance of our Tasmanian students on key measures of their literacy and numeracy as well as lifting our retention of students to Year 12 or equivalent.
We are also committed to the establishment of a Community Knowledge Network to provide a larger resource base and enhance services for all Tasmanians.
