  1. Long day care and occasional care centres only.
  2. Some services transferred from holding both ‘0-5 years’ and ‘5-12 years’ licences to a single ‘0-12 years’ licence.
  3. After school, before school and vacation care centres only.
  4. Previous reports have included data on parent satisfaction with their child’s education and satisfaction with school reporting processes. These data are not included this year due to the small sample of parents surveyed. From 2008, a new parent survey will enable the department to gather data around satisfaction with school reporting.
  5. As secondary school students are not organised into classes which exclusively undertake a complete education program, the department has adopted English class size as a proxy measure.
  6. This measure supports the achievement of Tasmania Together benchmark 5.1.2.
