  1. In past annual reports, 'teachers' included some non-teaching staff employed under the Teaching Service (Tasmanian Public Sector) Award. Improved reporting capabilities have enabled reporting specifically on staff teaching in schools from 2005-06, which has resulted in an apparent decrease in numbers from the previous years.
