Loss and Damage/Debts Written Off

Loss and damage

There is always the potential for general liability claims arising from DoE’s activities to be brought against the agency. Facilities, contents and motor vehicles are subject to loss and damage arising from many different causes. The Tasmanian Risk Management Fund (TRMF) provides protection for financial losses arising from any such events.

Under the department’s asset management policy, responsibility for the management of facilities rests with individual site managers who are well positioned to identify and manage priorities in a cost-effective manner.
