Reporting for Year Groups

Primary Years (Prep–Year 6)

In primary school, your child will be assessed against state standards in:

  • English—literacy (including LOTE where studied)
  • Mathematics—numeracy
  • Science
  • Society and History

Teachers will monitor your child’s progress in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Health and wellbeing and the Arts. In ICT, a formal assessment will occur in Year 6. A comment about your child’s progress in Health and wellbeing and the Arts will be provided at every reporting phase.

Secondary Years (Years 7–10)

In secondary school your child will be assessed against state standards in:

  • English—literacy (including LOTE where studied)
  • Mathematics—numeracy
  • Science
  • Society and History
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Arts

Teachers will monitor your child’s progress in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Vocational and Applied Learning (VAL). In ICT, a formal assessment will occur in Year 10. A comment about your child’s progress in VAL will be provided at every reporting phase.
