Which students do we want to communicate about?

Every day teachers are managing the learning of an extraordinarily diverse range of students with individual differences that can impact on their learning.  The school recognised that it was not just the students on the Register of Students with Severe Disabilities that required support and that it was critical to identify other students who needed support.

Situations that may impact on student learning and for which students might require support include:

  • learning disabilities

  • behaviour

  • specific disability

  • medical condition

  • social / emotional issues

  • being gifted / talented

  • having English as a second language.
