This case study describes how, in a busy high school, the school intranet has been used to strengthen communication and collaboration between staff in meeting the learning needs of Morgan, a student with Asperger Syndrome.

SharePoint^® was used as an effective collaborative workspace to support the individual education planning process for Morgan. Josh, a teacher at the school, managed the project.

Developing the Individual Education Plan (IEP)

Morgan's IEP was posted on the SharePoint workspace for staff with permission to view it.

Translating the IEP into practice

Morgan's IEP describes practical strategies to address his particular learning and support needs. The strategies relate to:

• going to the toilet block independently.
