The following areas provide administrative services to the public as well as corporate support to the department:

• Human Resources Management Branch - recruitment, industrial and workplace relations
• Finance, Facilities and Business Support Service - budget, financial operations, physical assets, financial assistance for students, international students, business support and business improvement
• Information and Technology Services - information technology, information management and records services
• Communication Services - media releases, communication and marketing issues, online services, publications and copyright
