All permanent vacancies and fixed-term vacancies of more than twelve months are advertised in the State Services Notices Section of the Tasmanian Government Gazette which is available:

• on the internet at http://www.jobs.tas.gov.au and can be accessed at Service Tasmania Shops and Tasmanian Communities Online centres around the state;
• for perusal at the Office of the State Service Commissioner, 2nd Floor, 144-148 Maquarie Street, Hobart and;
• in the reference section of major branches of the State Library of Tasmania.

Some vacancies are advertised in the Tasmanian newspapers, i.e. The Mercury, Examiner or Advocate and are occasionally advertised interstate or in professional publications.
