Each vacancy advertisement in the Department of Education, Tasmania contains the name of at least one contact officer who can answer queries and provide prospective applicants with additional information about the vacancy. That person is often, but not necessarily, the selection panel convenor.
The additional information will include, as a minimum, the current approved statement of duties; local task list (if applicable); Guidelines for Applicants [Word 423KB] and an Application for Employment Form 201 [PDF 48KB]. This information will be forwarded to the contact officer by Human Resources Management Branch (Staffing Services).
In some cases it may be relevant to provide further information such as business plans, partnership agreements, legislation or policy documents. This information will be provided to the contact officer by the selection panel convenor.
For vacancies advertised in the Gazette, applications normally close nine days after the date of publication, unless otherwise specified. For vacancies advertised by expression of interest (EoI), the closing date for applications will be specified in the EoI notice.
