Post-Selection Counselling

In the Department of Education, Tasmania the selection panel convenor will normally take responsibility for the post-selection counselling of applicants. If the convenor is unavailable another panel member must be nominated to undertake post-selection counselling.

Post-selection counselling should be undertaken during the review period. A dot point summary of the major issues covered during the counselling must be kept by the person providing the counselling as it may be required for review purposes.

The Office of the State Service Commissioner has developed post-selection feedback guidelines [PDF 8KB] which should be used for post-selection counselling.
