(January 2005)
Any State Service employee who applied and was unsuccessful for a permanent position in the Department of Education, Tasmania and who:
- believes the selection panel erred in their judgement; or
- believes the selection process was flawed
may request a review of the selection.
Details of the review process including Application for Review forms have been developed by the Office of the State Service Commissioner. Applications for review must be made in accordance with the Commissioner's requirements.
If the outcome of the review is that the application for review is not upheld, the nominated applicant is appointed or promoted to the position.
If the outcome of the review supports the unsuccessful applicant who requested the review, then the selection process will be undertaken again.
In either event, the Human Resources Management Branch (Staffing and Establishment Services) will notify the relevant employees and the selection panel convenor.
