There are three unions with employee coverage in the Department of Education, Tasmania:

• Australian Education Union;
• Community and Public Sector Union (SPSF Group Tasmania); and
• Australian Liquor, Hospitality and Miscellaneous Workers Union - Tasmanian Branch.

In circumstances where Branch Directors, Principals, Managers and Supervisors are formally approached by union officials or their representatives on such matters as employment conditions, award entitlements and interpretation, advice should be sought from the Manager (Employee Relations and Support) on (03) 6233 7038 before responding.
