The PEIRS program is a Learning Together initiative integral to the teacher recruitment strategy of the Department of Education, Tasmania.

The PEIRS program encourages pre-service teachers to undertake school experience in participating rural and isolated schools by providing support for accommodation and travel.

Guidelines [Word 974KB], a list of participating schools [Word 75KB], a timeline of events [Word 65KB] and an Application Form [Word 70KB] have been developed to help pre-service teachers participate in the PEIRS Program.

A brochure [Word 428KB] is available for students undertaking professional experience in 2010.
