Asbestos
Information to assist Tasmanian schools and libraries to effectively manage any risk that may be associated with asbestos being on a school or library site.

Discipline Guidelines
These guidelines outline a range of sanctions which are specified in the Education Act as possible responses by schools to unacceptable behaviour by students and the processes which must be followed in each case.
Enrolment and Attendance Guidelines
All children who are at least 5 years of age as at 1 January in any year must be enrolled in a school or be provided with home education.
Guidelines for schools in relation to non-custodial parents
The "Guidelines for schools in relation to non-custodial parents” provide advice to schools in relation to the rights of non-custodial parents to be involved in their children’s school and education. The Guidelines include information about legal issues which may apply to some families.

The Department of Education manages personal information in accordance with the requirements of the Personal Information Protection Act 2004.
Public interest disclosures
Provides a link to the Act and the model procedures developed by the Ombudsman for handling disclosures, along with information regarding the role of the Human Resources Management Branch of the Department of Education to assist in managing the requirements of the Act.
Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI)
The Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI Act) replaced the Freedom of Information Act on 1 July 2010. It creates a new framework for the disclosure of information to the Tasmanian Community.
Risk management
Includes the risk management cycle, template, insurance policies, claims forms, Certificate of Currency and managing special events for schools.
