The guidelines specify certain processes which must be followed in the cases listed below. These processes are laid down in the Education Act or are required by the Department of Education.
It should be noted that the attendance guidelines are currently under review in order to reflect the Youth Participation in Education and Training (Guaranteeing Futures) Act 2004.
