An Individualised Family Service Plan (IFSP) suits your family’s values, beliefs, priorities and routines. It is:
- a written plan
- flexible and relevant to the changing needs of your child and family
The plan is developed by a team which includes:
- your family (including siblings and extended family members)
- Early Childhood Intervention Service staff
It may also include:
- other service providers (for example, doctors, therapists, child care providers)
- other individuals invited by your family (for example, family friends)

- Your child is unique, with individual strengths and talents
- Your child grows and develops in the context of relationships with your family members and other caregivers
