The first weeks
Support for your family
Who can refer?
In the first few weeks of life, babies learn how to move their bodies. This helps them to learn about themselves and the world around them.
The quality of their movement affects all other areas of their development including:
- thinking
- playing
- hand skills
- coordination
- feeding
- speech
Was your child born prior to 38 weeks gestation?
Did they:
- weigh less than 1500 grams at birth?
- suffer a neurological event?
- suffer significant neonatal complications?
If so, your child may benefit from our premature infant program which supports your family to meet the needs of your child.
You can share your own unique experience with other families.
