Libraries and Archives
The State Library of Tasmania is a statewide library and information service, providing for the information, educational, cultural and recreational reading needs of the Tasmanian community through a network of city and branch libraries.
The Archives Office of Tasmania is the repository for all Tasmanian state and local government records that are no longer of immediate administrative use but that are considered worthy of permanent or long-term preservation. It also has a major collection of non-government records and manuscripts.
