Launching into LearningThe Department of Education’s strategic plan identifies the importance of providing a ‘Bright Beginnings’ for all young children and their families.

The Early Years in Tasmania includes

• Launching into Learning,

• Kindergarten,

• Belonging, Being and Becoming- The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia,

• Child and Family Centres,  

• Education and Care/Child Care services regulation and quality assurance.

Launching into Learning provides resources to schools to develop and lead initiatives with families and their community to support children’s early learning prior to Kindergarten. [read more]

Tasmanian Kindergartens are children’s formal enrolment point into their local school and provide play-based learning for children who are 4 years of age. [read more]

Belonging, Being and Becoming - The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia is the foundation document for ensuring children in all early years settings experience quality teaching and learning. [read more]

Child and Family Centres are places for families with children birth to 5 to access a range of services. [read more]
