Premier's Reading Challenge 2008

Premier's Reading Challenge 2008

21 April to 30 September

Get ready, get set, go!

I love reading and I particularly enjoy reading to my children, Hudson and Matilda. I hope you will also enjoy reading a range of books as part of this challenge.

My favourite book when I was very young was Scruffy the Tugboat. No doubt, you will also find a favourite when reading 20 books in 20 weeks!

So far a total of 35,422 students - or 91 per cent of all Tasmanian students from Grades 1 to 6 - have registered in the Premier's Reading Challenge to read 20 books from now until 30 September.

Students who read 10 books by June 30 will go into the draw to win an iPod and audio book voucher and I will send a signed certificate to every student who completes the Challenge.

There are so many great stories waiting for you to explore and interesting characters to get to know so good luck and happy reading!
