Now: Qualified bricklayer/owner of Brad Long Bricklaying, and runs student programs of his own.

Whether you want to go to College or on to further study at university, complete a certificate qualification at the Polytechnic, study an adult literacy course, or look into an apprenticeship or traineeship – there is a program for you!

The Further Education and Training division of the Department of Education includes:

  • The Tasmanian Academy – incorporates the eight senior secondary colleges, and offers a wide range of VET and TQA subjects.

  • The Tasmanian Polytechnic – is Tasmania’s largest registered training organisation and offers over 300 courses ranging from Certificate I to Advanced Diploma.

  • LINC Tasmania – brings together library, research and information services, adult literacy support, community learning, online access, and archive and heritage services for those who want to learn in an informal environment.

  • GETI (Government Education and Training International) – for international students who are interested in studying in Tasmania.
