In December 2010 Tasmania joined other states and territories in endorsing the new Australian Curriculum.

2011 will be a preparation year for Phase 1 Australian Curriculum subjects - English, Mathematics and Science and an introduction to History.

During 2011, the Tasmanian Curriculum will remain as the required curriculum for all Government schools, which will continue to assess against existing reporting systems with reporting timelines remaining unchanged in 2011.
