Resource Centre

The Aboriginal Education Resource Centre provides resources and information for:

  • the programs run by Aboriginal Education Services
  • teachers and students in schools throughout Tasmania.

It has over 9000 items covering:

  • Tasmanian Aboriginal resources - historical and contemporary
  • Fiction either by Aboriginal authors or about Aboriginal issues, or containing values such as acceptance, diversity etc.
  • Sets of readers that include Aboriginal perspectives and Aboriginal people
  • Dreaming stories from all around Australia
  • Curriculum materials that include Aboriginal perspectives
  • Literacy and numeracy testing tools
