Guaranteeing Futures is one of the four initiatives from Tasmania: A State of Learning which was a long-term strategic framework for post-Year 10 education and training launched in 2004. 

Guaranteeing Futures continues to address the learning needs of young Tasmanians by providing programs and activities that support young people in making a successful transition from compulsory schooling to further education, training or employment.

Providing pathway planning and transition support 
Resources for planning and support of young people from compulsory education through to independent young adulthood.

Introducing area taskforces
Area Taskforce consultation and planning provide local strategic directions for collaborative projects to help young people to meet their post-Year 10 destination goals.

Guaranteeing Futures Environmental Scan
Information on demographics, labour markets, patterns of service provision, existing networks and partnerships as well as participation in education, training and employment.

Enabling career, work and enterprise education
Support and advice to schools and colleges in the development and implementation of vocational learning, career and work education, community and business partnerships across the State.
