The Guaranteeing Futures Environmental Scan Project commenced in November 2004. The project focused on young people aged 15 to 24 and aimed to capture data on: demographics, labour markets, patterns of service provision, existing networks and partnerships as well as participation in education, training and employment. Young people had direct input into the scans through the conduct of various youth focus groups in each area.
Full environmental scans have been conducted in both the South and Cradle Coast regions. An existing scan developed in 2003 for the North [PDF 1.47MB] has also been updated. Each environmental scan includes key recommendations to guide future action planning by Area Taskforces.
