Itu masalah (It's a predicament) introduces three young Indonesian people, Ali, Nyoman and Lastri, who are faced with a predicament and need to make a decision about what they will do.

Students can find out what advice three different people have given them, and consider what might happen if that advice is followed. They then think about what they would do if this was a predicament they faced themselves, before finding out what the Indonesian student actually did.

Text presented in English behind an information button explores some of the cultural factors that may influence the character's decisions.

All spoken text is accompanied by native-speaker sound and English rollover help is provided for more difficult words.

This learning object is suitable for students in early high school (grades 7/8 or 8/9). Students with limited Indonesian may need some support.
