This learning object looks at a growing form of communication in popular culture - the online newspaper or magazine. Students are welcomed to the office of Kesan!, an internet magazine for guys and girls, and asked to help with four different tasks. They can also view the draft magazine at any time.
The four tasks look at different genres and sections of a 'typical' magazine. They include:
adding captions to photographs in a feature article
matching questions and answers in an advice column and composing a suitable title
completing a film review
taking a shopping quiz to test its accuracy.
