The Australian student character is supported in bargaining by an Indonesian friend who provides feedback and explains some cultural points.

There is information in Indonesian about each item for sale, presented as a fact file. Throughout the learning object, an information button presents extra background information in English, to help explain the cultural or historical context.

This learning object is suitable for students in Years 5 to 8 with limited experience of Indonesian. All spoken text is accompanied by native-speaker sound and English rollover help is provided for more difficult words.
