Imagine working with students from Indonesia on a variety of web projects! This learning object presents this scenario, with four students from Indonesia sharing their ideas about different topics.

Umi presents the importance of water to her community; Made 'sells' Bali as a place to visit; Tuti makes a personal statement about her 'hero' and Budi tells us about the exciting sport of Sepak takraw.

Each project presents information in a range of different genres - a short written text, pictures with captions, related web links and an explanatory graph or diagram. Australian students can add an Australian perspective or comments to each project. More importantly, this learning object provides a model for Australian students interested in creating their own web pages or working collaboratively with others.

All spoken text is accompanied by native-speaker sound and English rollover help is provided for more difficult words.

Students would need skills in basic web-publishing to conduct a real-life collaborative web project.

The target audience for this learning object is grade 5 and 6 students, with some experience of Indonesian.
