The Department of Education has published a literacy resource titled Unlocking Literacy: Keys to success. The resource is based on best practice and links reading and writing through the use of discussion, thinking and questioning. The purpose of the resource is to provide one-to-one literacy support, particularly in reading to primary students with special and/or additional needs. Although this resource is intended to be delivered by parent volunteers or paraprofessionals, it does incorporate many useful strategies that can be used within a classroom context.

A small hand appears to let you navigate into the PDF and hands on the top right of the page allow you to navigate back.
