Fitting in

Using the novel Nips XI and prior Indonesian learning as pre-text, students explored cultural similarities, differences and stereotypes, with specific reference to Indonesia and Australia.

Students understood and used Indonesian language related to a typical school day. They researched and synthesised information from a range of sources provided. They used graphic organizers (Venn Diagrams, tables) and demonstrated that they were able to work cooperatively to achieve a group task. Students were able to speak confidently in a range of situations.
