Communication and cultural diversity – the Winter Arts Festival

This whole-school arts festival involved music, drama, visual arts, design graphics and, for the first time this year, French. The French element involved music, plays, mime, dressing up, bowls games and cuisine, all in the target language. Students read about and viewed a clip about French leisure, cooking and way of life.

Guided inquiry performances included pair work and group work, drama performances, writing a script for puppet show, rules for a game, menus for a café and a recipe for crêpes.
