About the Tasmanian School Library Guidelines
The Tasmanian School Library Guidelines has been produced by the Department of Education Library and Information Centre (DELIC) as a service to Tasmanian school library personnel. It is primarily intended for Tasmanian government school libraries, however, non-government school libraries may find them useful.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that information in the handbook is accurate, the handbook should be regarded as a guide only.
The handbook has been compiled using information available in existing handbooks, websites and print publications. It has been researched by librarians and by teacher-librarians working for education department libraries.
Thanks are due to the NSW Department of School Education Curriculum Directorate for allowing DELIC to model the handbook on their publication titled Handbook for School Libraries (2nd ed.)
