CELO ArtyFacts is offered in two online classrooms, Prep - grade 3, and grades 4 - 6. The students are encouraged to express their ideas and interests in an imaginative and positive way and use creative problem solving to take challenges further, away from the obvious.
Each art challenge is an opportunity for the students to produce artworks at a sophisticated level. Every challenge may also be solved in thousands of different ways with a range of medium options available.
Students will spend most of their allocated time working away from the computer, planning and creating their artworks, which may then be scanned or photographed for sending to the online teacher. Original works may also be sent to the delivery teacher, with schools responsible for postage costs.
Schools nominating students for this project must commit to supporting these students. Where the support person is not the classroom teacher, good communication between the support person, delivery teacher and the classroom teacher is crucial to enable strong links to the students' classroom program.
