Bushfire Ready Schools
When bushfires threaten school buildings, these buildings may be required to house and protect students, staff and visitors from ember attack, smoke and radiant heat when bushfires threaten.

Promoting positive behaviour
Provides information about Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS), which is currently being implemented and is one of the ways that positive behaviour is being promoted in Tasmanian schools.
Retaining and Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Students
Pregnancy or parenting are not considered to be valid reasons for a school aged student to be exempted from enrolment. Schools are responsible for establishing strategies to ensure that pregnant and parenting students are supported in continuing their education.

School Breakfast Programs 2012
Information and guidelines for funding submission for the School Breakfast Programs 2012. Research indicates that eating breakfast has been shown to improve children’s educational performance in such areas as problem-solving, memory and concentration. Internationally, school breakfast clubs are proving to have a positive effect on attendance rates at schools/educational institutions.

Information with recommendations for canteen policy development, canteen management, menu selection, marketing and safe food handling practices. Also provides details about the Cool Canteen Accreditation Program (Cool CAP).
