Concession Bus Pass

Purpose

Allows eligible students to travel free of charge on fare charging bus services between their home and school.

This pass is issued for a school year and a new application must be made each year.

Conveyance Allowance

Purpose

To assist with the cost of transporting students by private car between their home and the nearest school bus stop, or for air travel by eligible students living on Bass Strait Islands. A new application must be made each year.

Critchley Parker Junior Student Loan Fund

Purpose

To provide financial help to full-time students so they can continue their studies in Tasmania.

It is intended as short-term 'crisis' funding, when assistance from other sources is not available.

Glenore Bursary

Purpose

A bursary is available each year to a student attending either Hagley or Westbury Primary School who:

  • is commencing secondary education in the following year; and
  • lives within 5 kilometres of the old Glenora School site near Whitemore.

A student is selected to receive a Bursary in November of each year. The selection is based on an aptitude and achievement test.

Purpose

Veterans' Children Education Scheme (VCES)

Purpose

To provide financial support and services to children of certain deceased, blind, or totally and permanently incapacitated veterans, members of the Forces, or children of Vietnam veterans who fulfill certain criteria.

To help eligible children take full advantage of the educational opportunities available to them.

Vietnam Veterans' Long Tan Bursary

Purpose

To provide financial help for first year tertiary students enrolled at an approved institution. The bursary applies to students under the age of 25 who are children of Vietnam veterans.
