The Frank MacDonald Memorial Prize is open to all students currently in year 9 in government and non-government schools in Tasmania, as well as home-schooled students at the same year levels.
The prize was a joint initiative of the Tasmanian State Government and the RSL Tasmania.

The 2008 Frank MacDonald Memorial Prize recipients and the teachers who will accompany the students to Gallipoli, Belgium and France in April / May 2009 are:
