New - Shadowing Program for Aspiring Principals 2010 Expression of Interest form
Educational leadership is mysterious, sometimes difficult, a little confusing but it is the “best job”. Universally educational leaders acknowledge complexity and work intensification. However, when experienced leaders are asked if given the opportunity would they choose to lead all over again their responses are overwhelmingly captured by the following statement:
“Oh yes, it’s wonderful work, I wouldn’t dream of doing anything else”. 1.
Being an educational leader is a privilege and an opportunity to serve future generations by setting up the necessary preconditions for schools to become “simply the best they can be”. If you are thinking of becoming an education leader then get ready for the ride of your life and to experience every emotion we experience as human beings. It will be challenging, difficult, exhilarating and hugely rewarding.
What follows is a professional learning program that will allow you to develop and/or refine the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes so that you can become the best educational leader you can possibly be. There are programs for aspiring leaders, aspiring principals, a principals' induction program and inquiry networks for incumbent principals.
