In November 2010 the Department of Education invited submissions from non-government organisations in partnership with government schools to provide initiatives that support flexible learning for secondary students.
Organisations were invited to apply for Innovative Flexible Education Grants ranging from $50,000 to $100,000 per year for three years to support new ideas worth exploring or existing programs which could provide evidence to show they work.
The first 15 successful Innovative Flexible Education Grant recipients have now been decided.
