The final Bill has been tabled and is now available on the Parliament of Tasmania Website. It amends the Teachers Registration Act 2000 to:
- provide the Teachers Registration Board (TRB) with the ability to suspend or cancel a teacher’s registration if that person no longer holds registration to work with vulnerable people under the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 without the need to conduct a time consuming and resource intensive disciplinary process; and
- allow the TRB to participate in a range of data sharing initiatives.
