National Reconciliation Week – 2021

Reconciliation Australia’s theme for 2021, More than a word. Reconciliation takes action, urges the reconciliation movement towards braver and more impactful action.

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

So… what does this look like? 

A great place to start would be your school, organisation or community – how is your place of learning or work or living actively working towards reconciliation? 

How are we exploring these ideas?  What is the collective vision when we think about reconciliation?  Who is involved or could be involved in order to make our actions successful and impactful?  What is the first step in that plan?  What is the next step in that plan? How can our plan exist outside of NRW in an ongoing commitment to reconciliation?

Overwhelmed? Absolutely.  Hesitant?  Of course.  But now is the time to be brave.  Here are some resources we have found that might help:
