Having positive and inclusive relationships between schools, families and the wider school community is the foundation for a great learning environment. Recognising this, all Government schools in Tasmania are required under the Education Act 2016 (Tas) to have a School Association.
A School Association is made up of the parents, staff and community members of the school. The School Association works together for the benefit of the school.
Each School Association elects a group of School Association members to form the School Association Committee. This Committee represents the School Association and undertakes administrative and decision making activities on behalf of the School Association.
